My BE supplied router (a chunky, yet discrete, white and grey Thomsom TG585) certainly made a difference in my case, syncing at about 30% better than my Jurassic wirefull DLink-504 and budget re-badged wireless SafeCom. I get 5M+/1M+ download/upload sync rates.
