Installing skylights?

Hi I was wondering what permission I would need to install some skylights into my top floor flat. Would I need board and building ownr approval I guess?

Hi Ben,

You would need to make an application to the freeholder, the managing agent and the board to explore the issue if you so wish.

However it is my understanding that the roof area is common part and does not belong to your property.  Hence the recent refusal to the solar panel installation request as discussed in this forum elsewhere.
