Southwark Council have put forward a proposal to redevelop the Boat Yard at the corner of South Dock Marina. The plans are extensive and the height of building significant. I only found out about it by chance and don't think the council has done its best to inform the local community of this. There are some pictures of the proposal attached to this post.
If you require more information then please email: housingregen at southwark.gov.uk
Thanks

Simon, thanks for posting this.
A twenty story tower block on the site of the boat yard is, as you say, a significant increase in height of the current building!
As I live in a flat whose only natural light comes from windows that overlook the marina this development would dramatically impact that.
I will contact the address you provided and post anything I get back.

Hi there – there was a flyer through doors from a local group of residents and there are a couple of Facebook pages that are dedicated to this with calls to action etc.

Southwark Council are holding another consultation about this development. I urge anyone who doesn't share the Council's enthusiasm for it to read the following link and book into the event being held at the water sports centre.
