The original Elson Coral E water heaters are 15 years old now. We have found that the water coil inside the heat store is now furred up and so the transfer of heat from the heat store to the cold water is too slow. The updated model, which is the Elson Aquanox is too big to fit our cupboard and costs about £1500. I am thinking of replacing the cylinder with either Gledhill 180 litre Stainless lite, or Dimplex EC Eau or Albion ultrasteel. The are all direct cylinders with expansion vessels. Before I get any quotes, would anyone who has installed a water heater like to let the forum know how they would rate it please?
